  • stung yet again!!! Wasps need some help here! x

So as you all know I have a bird house full of wasps, which I dont mind they are not doing anyone any harm BUT!!!! I was just out cutting my grass and removing some gravel for some block paving to go down and all these wasps flew up from the ground where they bf was digging, Ive been stung yet again!!!! Last time one flew up my trouser leg and stung me twice in a very delicate area, but I think I stood on their area ( I was in the jungle next door), where as this is my area. As I said Im not bothered about them being in my bird house but I need them off the ground as thats my area for my plants and food.

    Any help people?

I bought a w@spin@tor today - hung it in the big tree in the middle of the back garden. No idea if it'll work, but being allergic to stings, I'm prepared to give anything a try.

When I was a boy, we used to use a jamjar. Once there is just scrapings of jam left, we made a small hole in the lid with my dad's hammer and a spike, put an inch of water in the bottom and put the lid back on. Wasps would crawl in the hole and drown in the jammy water.

Because there was still jam on the insides of the jar, we could tip out the drowned wasps when there was no room for any more, put some more water in and repeat.

I expect nowadays you'd have your kids taken into care if you let them do this, so don't let on I told you.
