  • Looks windy!

Good to have it back though
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

                        • Wow! seasprout what an odd place to see a bearded tit. Are you sure it wasn't a long-tailed tit? I've just looked at the RSPB bird ID and it says you only find Beardies in reedbeds?

Not quite as odd, I think I saw a treecreeper.

Well i'm about 60% sure it was, i used my RSPB bird book last week during the Bird count to make sure i get my tits right, (don't snigger) and was reading about Bearded tits, and looking at the pictures wistfully, i was also given a copy of the latest RSPB members mag to read in the week and if i'm right there is a fantastic photo of one.

Finally i get Long Tailed Tits at work, they hammer away at my fat balls (again, don't snigger) quite close up.

But I admit i'm no expert at ID'ing birdies.

But I hope it was a Bearded Twit, i mean tit.

                            • Oops.

Smallblueplanet, i owe you an apology, just been looking through the RSPB bird identifier site and it looks like i saw a Crested Tit,

"quote : It is largely confined to ancient Caledonian pine forests and Scots pine plantations.

The drawing is not so clear, but the photo they have confims it for me.

So I need a new basic beginers bird Id book, can you recommend one..??
