    • Crested tit!!! First time I've seen one!
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

          • I have never seen a crested tit, I am now fully addicted to the webcam...
I just love the squirrels and watching them lift the lid of the feeder- brilliant
I always feel that when the pic first comes up they will see me and I am going to frighten them away :-)

Just been looking at the RSPB home page and it migyht have been an ordinary chaffinch but it looked bigger and greener backed than I thought they were. It had a reddish pink tummy. The pic of a crossbill looks similar too:

Is there a way of doing a screen capture on the webcam? It'd be really useful for looking things up!

                  • I'd think that there might be software out there that'd let you save the 'video stream' to your hard-drive but I don't know what cos its not my thing - we need a nerd!

if the bird that you are talking about was on the feeder above the box about 3 oclock it was a female chaffinch.
Another bit of news about this website last summer there was a webcam on a Hobbys nest in the New Forrest there was 2 chicks and they grew like the clappers was ready for fledging in about 2 months . (live streaming).
also there was a camera on a Ospreys nest but only stills refreshed every 2 minutes so a lot to look forward to Jacob

                          Thanks Jacob

The other webcams sound really interesting too. I hope they (or similar) will be back this year.

                            • It does look windy up there, it's making me feel seasick! Just seen the red squirrel get completely in the feeder box a couple of times, even it's tail, I guess it must be nearly empty & it's getting right in there to find what's left!
