A robins nest in the wheelbarrow
Hi, we recently left an upturned wheelbarrow on the allotment over a small pile of manure. We then saw 'our' robins bobbing underneath it. We assumed they were eating the worms & grubs, then yesterday when we lifted the barrow to use it, & there was the female sitting on 5 eggs in her nest!! We were worried that we had scared them off, but they were soon back!!
Bit worried that they are nesting on the ground & also I need to strim, move stuff around the lottie etc. Still, bought them a tub of mealworms yesterday to keep them happy!
Fantastic to have the nest though & can't wait to see the babies.
