  • Bee or Moth please???

    This beautiful brilliant red insect with jet black markings.
    never seen one before!
    identify please?
    Would post the photo if I could work out how to do it.
    grrrrr. So slow today

        Ready to give up on this forum I’m afraid

                    It’s taken about an hour to get to your post to reply. It’s so slow....Looks like a ruby tiger moth,it’s lovely never seen one before here.

                          That's a Moth just crawled out of it's cacoon and has not pumped fluid into the wings to expand them, I'd go Tiger Moth as well.

                            i must’ve disturbed his cocoon as I was weeding.
