I actually thought it might be a young chaffinch but when it was on the feeder a chaffinch arrived which was much bigger than the Linnet.
I hope it comes back.Northern England.

I felt I was studied quite intensely by a Bee Fly the other day, it was funny the way it hovered around me, zooming in close then backing off and darting around me. I got the distinct impression I was in his/her space! Which to be fair I was.Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs!

Brilliant pictures of bee flies. I was being monitored too today while I was sat , obviously I was intruding. Funny things arnt they.
Blackcap I havnt seen one of those either.
Not seen a slow worm either if thats what it is.
Lots of bumblebees today while I was weeding . I actually wondered if they were looking for holes, would they?
