I had a painted lady butterfly yesterday but it disappeared when i went to get my phone for a photo.

First time I've seen one like this. Released it outside.

DannyK We had a box tree moth here too a while ago,if you have box plants they might be interested,we don’t have any so it came in the house,I found it on the ceiling,it was in the same spot for ages maybe sleeping,I moved it outside with a glass & card in the evening

Oh nice. I didn't know what they looked like. Don't have any of those (or box )here.

They devastated my two box shrubs for several years until the plants finally died.
