    • Had a couple of hours on my local stream fly fishing, didn't catch any flies but I did catch a nice wild BrownTrout, it was just about big enough for tea, but I took it's picture then returned unharmed.

rescued this one from the house. They get all confused after bashing against the window and can be moved quite easily. It got back in to play leapfrog with it's friends by the pond.

            • Saw this today on the raspberries. Apparently it is a speckled wood.

                  • Yesterday I saw more small tortoiseshells while out walking than I saw for the whole of last year. There were dozens flitting about, must all have emerged together. Last year I never saw more than one at a time, and probably only totalled three or four the whole year.

And can anyone identify this butterfly? It was as dark underneath as it was on top. I thought maybe a blue of some sort but they all seem to have pale undersides. It was small like a blue though.

                          • Thanks Burnie. I've decided it is a patchwork leafcutter bee
