My mum has a female blackbird and a robin (gender unknown) who 'live together' in a huge bush in her garden. They feed together, roost together, fly around together. In fact you never see them apart. Is this usual? They are both also incredibly tame, I'd have expected it of the robin, but the blackbird does it too and stays so close that you have to watch where you walk.

My blackbirds are very tame at the moment - I just have to put the keys in the door and they fly down for some raisins.
I have a robin in the same bush as my male blackbird too -- they aren't pals, they just tolerate each other. He chases off the starlings thoughAll gardeners know better than other gardeners." -- Chinese Proverb.
