We have a little robin in the garden. I love robins.
I heard him singing yesterday, sounded so lovely. I didn't even realise they sang! doh.
    Hope he sticks around.

Yup, they are lovely! They're quite curious too and soon get use to you out in the garden, often coming close when you're digging to see if you're unearthing nice things for them to eat!!

Robins are one of the best singers, IMHO - after blackbirds, of course!

Last summer on my lottie, a robin spent all afternoon "helping" me dig, and came and perched on the canes I was putting up for the pea plants. One of those perfect gardening days...

Don't be fooled by birdsong at this time of year. They are all issuing 'fight-to-the-death' challenges to one another if the same sex or promises of a grand seeing-to if different.

Most spring-time birdsong translates as 'Come over here if you think you're hard enough!' or 'You and whose flock?'

Last of the old romantics, me!

Yeah, I know - and robins are the worst. They will attack anything red and roughly robin-sized, even a pompom, and unlike most songbird species the males and females are identical, so it's not just the boys being rowdy!

From what i remember, robins are territorial so he should stick around - we have one that we see most of the year.
