  • My sisters problem

My sister loves her birds and spends loads feeding them but they are wrecking her fence. She's seen a Nut Hatch, and a Green Woodpecker attacking her wooden fence and lumps are being pulled off it. She's not that bothered but her neighbours getting narky and her fiance is grumbling now. She doesn't want to have to stop feeding them, but some people get a bit funny about wildlife in gardens.

    Any one heard of this?

woodpeckers peck wood ....... some people are horrid ..... she could try putting some netting over the fence about 4 inches away pulled tight, so they can't peck it, .... though they usually peck for insects, so maybe a good dose of wood preserver to kill off the bugs too ?? ........ oh and shoot the neighbours

thanks Lynda, I 'm so envious of all her birds, I get the usual in my back yard, nothing exotic.

Other than having big logs with holes drilled and mealworms inserted, nope sorry. Everyone should be proud of her not whinge! Honestly!
Never test the depth of the water with both feet

The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory....

Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.

We have a woodpecker just behind our house in the woods (I hear it). It comes occasionally to feed in the garden. I would so love it if hung around a bit more.
