  • Thinking of setting up a bee cam

    Hi All

I am thinking of setting up a bee cam in my apiary as it is within wireless range of the school I work at, just got to figure out how to keep the rain out of the camera.

Good luck with that - I for one would love to watch your bees busy at work

Is it any different from a camera in a birds nesting box? I'm not sure how your bee cam it will get wet, cos if its in the hive, won't it be dry?

Well I was thinking of putting the camera looking at the landing board/entrance reason being is if I put it in the hive will the infra red of the camera upset the bees or not, I dont know what spectrum of colour the bees can see, I wouldnt want to upset them.
