A terrible sight - Varroa on Bumbles

Still waiting to have a return call from Warwickshire (well..west midlands) Bee Inspector. But I have just escorted outdoors another bumble from the conservatory with the same degree of infestation. I know I have at least one nest in our garden (this sunny afternoon seen three big bumbles simultaneously above our pond) so likely a very endemic infestation of mite. Of whatever variety. I'll try to catch a bee and wash the mites off for analysis. I'll report back when Mr Inspector rings!
