Help please - Are there any reasons why I wouldn’t want hedgehogs in and around my Veg garden and chickens?
I have searched the forum and people talk about them being in decline and feeding them but is there a down side?
I have offered to re-home recovering hedgehogs - I wanted to donate a few pounds to their cause and the nice lady said my set-up was great for re-homing hedgehog but she was little vague about whether they will dig all my peas up etc. I will still get the house and re-home some but will keep it away from my poly tunnel if the two don’t mix (sorry to ask such a town-y question) advice appreciated

    Regards

    Pat

Go for it- we've had hedgehogs in the garden for years-the only digging up we've seen are from the blackbirds!

A big 'Go for it' from me too.

We had two at our feeder the other night, one last night, I just love to see them. They do so much good.

Dont forget to put out some water!

Looking all good at the moment then! You donate money and one arrives with cat food and biscuits As well as the house – The lady was very specific about when my first one will be available as she (the hedgehog) is just starting to come out of hibernation at the moment so it looks like, the kids and I can collect on Good Friday!
If she stays for the long term there is one regime - but hopefully she will set up home nearby after a while and start her own family - then the charity give you another to start the process all over again!
