Our first swallows turned up yesterday. I just love their little twittering song.
Last year they were sitting on our telephone line feeding babies. Charming

So we're just waiting for the Swifts. But they're always the last to arrive and the first to go.

I'm still waiting for my swallows

Saved a fledge yesterday, from a distance I thought it was a wren sitting on a lower rung of the gate staring at the chooks got a bit closer and realised it was a ball of fluff - panic - dogs - managed to save it and put it on the roof of DD's old Wendy House, its ma/pa fluttered over and it flew to the crab tree it was a little blue tit - really cute.
