No, not yet! You know what they say....
To see a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower

      The Cuckoo comes in April,
He sings his song in May,
In the middle of June he whistles his tune,
      And then he flies away.

I thought I heard one last week but it was far off in the distance.

They have been around here since the beginning of April Must be different in France. I never tire of hearing their call - such a lovely summer sound.

Had cuckoos here for about 3 weeks and the woodpeckers longer, think I'm more aware of them because we live in the woods are see/hear things easier, even had a woodpecker on our woodpile a few days ago and that's close to the house. When I opened the volet this morning about 6, the cuckoo was making a rare old racket.

Spring's close for sure, loads of butterflies in the garden yesterday.

Almost positive I heard one on the plot on Wednesday, listened for it to call again, but nothing, so not entirely certain!

Our resident cuckoo has been calling here for about a week or so, we hear him (I assume it's him?) every year.

You're so lucky, the last time I heard a cuckoo here in W.Wales was about 8 years ago. Have had a pair of siskin in the garden over the weekend though.

We didn't hear one at all last year. Sad.
