    A larva?
    They aren't flying yet are they?

    * ducks.

    I hate May Bugs, and June Bugs. I once sat at an open-air concert and the audience was bombed with June Bugs, crawling in our hair, down our clothes ... hideous things.

            The larvae looks worse than the adult ... but the adult gets in your hair !

              Apart from running from May bugs today I also planted some common orchid and had a little chat with a female blackbird munching on an apple. Life is good

                I can never resist a dare (don't get any ideas Bob leponge), and googled it. Man that is one ugly bug!
                Still not sure I have ever had the (dis)pleasure though of finding one - and I am in East Angular which wikipedia says they are prolific in.
                That's probably a good thing, finding one of those would send me running back indoors for an indoor hobby!

                              I dont know what bugs they were, but when I was at my boyfriends parents helping to lay a new front path there were loads of flying black insects. They looked like rather big mozzies but were very clumsy when flying. Spent most of their time crawling on the floor. Any ideas on what they may have been?
