    Hi All

Was out in the garden this morning and mum noticed a baby starling in the pond. She thought it was dead but as she brought it out the water we saw the slightest move of its beak... We really thought it was a gonna, but my twin got a couple of tea towels and rubbed him to warm and dry him. Put him on a warmish hotwater bottle and slowly but surely he came too.

We put him in a cage to rest for a bit before taking him out into the garden and waited for him to call to a parent. Took a while but eventually there seemed to be a conversation between him and an adult and my sister quickly put him out of the cage and ran indoors.

He is now sitting in the conifer sleeping it off between occasional feeds... Keeping our fingers that he survives the night...

I just rescued one from a neighbour's greenhouse. It had flown or fallen in through the skylight and couldn't get out again.

Was dehydrated, very hot, and battering itself stupid against the glass

That's fab! He's got a great chance of making it through the night now.

          Oh well done!

Update - Sister saw him flying around in the garden. Can tell its him as a couple of feathers that were damaged are still sticking up... Its a real good feeling to know he is ok after seeing him motionless and hardly breathing Good luck baby starling
