I hope someone can help my friend - cuz I can't! Can someone put a name to this bird please. He's had a couple of suggestions, but the pictures in my books show some slightly different facial markings

Whitethroat - (a bit windswept, but a Whitethroat all the same) I don't think you will see a Dartford Warbler this far north (Staffordshire) mainly confined to Kent area.Comment
