We got Babies!!!!

......... Baby Bees and eggs that is!

We did our weekly inspection today, and were amazed to find that the Queen in each of our hives is now laying!! In hive 2 (the hive we housed a swarm in only 2 weeks ago today) there were both eggs and larvae, and eggs were present in hive 1! As soon as we are sure that the brood has been capped and that we have both worker and drone brood present, then we will be sure that the queens are properly mated and fertile, and then be able to move the hives back to our plot!

Yep! Both of us are absolutely bowled over, they've only been in the hive a matter of weeks, so its very quick work by the girls, but deffo good news!
