I’ve got the blues!! Holly blues that is. I haven’t seen one ever before and now there are lots of them fluttering about a holly hedge which is in flower.
I’m so pleased. My neighbour must think I’m nuts standing smiling at a hedge.
They aren’t very common here in Northern Ireland so it’s an honour to have them in my garden.

Definitely vine weevil. Far from recently hatched, some already changing to adult.
Robins love them. I'd dump compost in compost bin. Wash roots and replant with fresh compost. As edibles nematodes might clear them.
Any close plants got notched leaves? This is sign of adults. If decorative spray them with a systemic.Last edited by DannyK; 19-05-2018, 05:37 PM.Riddlesdown (S Croydon)
