A couple of Canada Geese (I think) enjoying the flooded, stagnant field near me.
I told them to go back to Slimbridge Wild Foel Trust because it’s much nicer there!

Only 6 or 7cm Jay, very slow and easy going. And not the biggest beetle we have around You should see (and hear) the stag beetles when they take to the air

        • Spotted a chiff chaff and pair of bullfinches in the garden. Looks like blue tits are going to use one of the nest boxes. Deliberately brushed the dog so there was loads of hair for them to use. Saw a blue tit this morning take some of the hair into the bird box.

A very unflattering picture of bambi inspecting the trail cam! Roe deer are a real nuisance and there are huge numbers around here. But they're gorgeous too! I just wish this one hadn't eaten the lower leaves of my apple tree and the top of a new-planted maple. Also on the cam last night a very distant badger and a fox.

That's not a young one, it's an adult female, probably looking for a nesting spot...……………...

                  • A soggy bumblebee I found doing laps of the dogs outside water bowl.
He appreciated a good feed on the dandelion.

                    • Young reptile or newt

While looking for slugs in a greenhouse I came across this little'n, about 1 inch in picture but would be a bit bigger if straightened out.
