The ponies were huge great things yesterday someone has shrunk them down to this weeny size, the rest were taken down by the river and the sunset walking back home with the dog last night
We get nice sunsets out the front, but I'm too scared to take a picture as we are surrounded by houses and someone might think I'm being a perv or something
I'm so jealous.....a red squirrel, that's something you don't see every day!
CenterParcs is in the middle of an actively managed Red Squirrel reserve. We've been a couple of times (it's great in January!), and at first you're looking everywhere for them, and then you get your eye in. The wildlife is incredible and the shop sells bird food - the first morning we were there in July we saw (deep breath) ...
Great, blue, long-tailed, coal tits, blackbird family, spotted woodpecker, pheasant, rabbit, hare, chaffinch, wagtail, (nuthatch?), greenfinch, doves, pigeons - all within 10 minutes of putting the bird food out (the bunny and hare didn't go on the bird table!). When my OH veeerrrrry carefully opened the window to try and get a better photo of the pheasant, it walked up the steps and tried to get into the lounge.
My ideal animal spotting - sat on a sofa with a big mug of coffee
Saw this on our big car sponge, the bugger wouldn't let go, had to pry him off with a crow bar, did think about leaving on one of the kids pillows but it would have meant losing all my recently earned brownie points
