  • Baby toad

We have toads that breed under our patio in a water pump sump. There were so many hopping around last autumn you had to be very careful where you walked. This is one with my key fob just to show how tiny they were.

    • Here are some from my garden and rooftop and aerial !

The Heron stood there watching me from my roof as I used to have a pond where my greenhouse now stands ! The juvenile starlings on the feeder were very greedy and I was lucky to capture the waxwings on my aerial. The one on the fencepost I have not identified so perhaps someone can say what it is I think its a skylark but am not convinced !

      • Well I'm gonna stab a guess at Woodlark Paul but my knowledge of birds is limited.

            • Looks like a song thrush to me ... But I'm not great on bird spotting either! Lovely pics though

              • Definitely not a thrush, my other choice was Meadow Pipit but needs a birder to tell me !

                      • This bird visited our garden last week. No idea what it was but assume it's a bird of prey as the sparrows disappeared and didn't come back for hours.

                          • Two long tailed tits which are regularly on our feeder! Very exciting, I hope they're here to stay!

Just wanted to add, it's not a great photo as I took it through the window, if I'd opened the door they'd have flown off.
