Possibly a male common buzzard. I only tend to see buzzards in flight. Lucky you

I'd say buzzard too. See them here quite often, circling over the garden, sometimes perched in a tree, just waiting.

I was in the g/h when there was a lot of noise. went out looked up it was about 7feet above me .his colors
was lovely in the sun.

Twice in one day. Return home from school run and the red kite was circling out the front of the house. The pic is a bit rubbish but it is the best I have got since the kite turned up in the village over a year or so now.

We have a few in the woods nearby but they don't seem to come into the garden...too exposed maybe to the birds of prey??
Ours are a much darker auburn colour with almost black tails!...funny little characters...much sweeter than the grey thugs

Hi fishpond it's a wingscapes bird cam pro,it just needs 8 AA batteries & an SD card,no cables (you can buy a USB cable to connect to a TV if you want) I just took the SD card out & put it in the laptop,it's easy to set up,video or photo,1080p HD,20 megapixel. Easy to change the settings & playback on the camera so you can check it works,I've got some good footage of my kitchen ceiling,il probably erase everything & start again. There's a focus dial so you can set it at the same distance as your bird feeders. It gives you time lapse photos & motion detect,you can set the time lapse to go off every 5 mins or something. I think it only videos for a short time?
