It's the "Big Butterfly count" week this week, but even if you're not joining the count the chart, linked below, if a great identifying tool.

Absolutely beautiful photos on here.
Bigmally, thanks for the woodpecker photos.
I was trying to describe a bird i had seen briefly in our garden to my Oh and sons. I didnt do a very good job because they didnt know what i had seen.
I showed them your photos this morning and both Oh and eldest son got it right away.
I feel a tad embarrassed i didnt know what it was
But at least i do now, so will be on the lookout for it.
Thanks

I did a bit on our blog recently about wildlife we'd spotted on the plot, after managing to take this piccy of a wild rabbit!
I'm pretty happy with the picture, but not so happy that he was on the allotment site! Lol!
A few other piccies from the allotment for you..........
Hedgehog family settling in for hibernation.....
Blackbird nest in the lean to part of our shed.........
Violet Ground Beetle
There's a few more on the blog, but I dont want to bore you all! LolBlessings

We have this one living in a bee nest box -
And speaking of bees, I spotted a bee with a piece of leaf (catmint?) ... so I followed her -
