    • Thank you A buddleia and a rose hedge how beautiful. I have a nettle patch which I think is increasing the butterfly population so I'd recommend that too. I also have early and late flowering buddleias which are good for the autumn butterflies.

            • I love the way you can see the petal colour through his wings. Its hard to believe that something so fragile can transport a bee for so many miles. Truly amazing!! Thank you for sharing him, Verinda

              • I'm delighted you like the picture VC! His wings are just amazing. My husband and I used to do a lot of sailing...before we had children...and I was forever intrigued by seeing bees way out at sea. They used to rest on the boat and I'd give them some sugar or crushed biscuit which they'd really appreciate then they'd zoom off, not back towards land but straight out to sea. Where were they going though? A question I haven't found an answer to yet!

                • Okay not the best of quality but I'm a rookie with the DSLR and deers are not the easiest to get a good shot of, i tried to stalk up behind it but it spotted me so had to quickly snap a shot.

                  • I saw a large flock of swallows today and snapped this photo. This swallow looks so small and such a long journey ahead.

                              • I saw this teddy bear sort of caterpillar today. I have seen them before. I think they might become a moth, not sure, must look them up.
