Green lizard, rescued from the cat and about to be returned to the brush pile. This is quite a small one.Attached FilesLe Sarramea https://jgsgardening.blogspot.com/

Our glow worm population is booming - so much so that they are having to share!
These two munching a snail were just below one of the sheets of plastic covering a bed. I'm now finding more glow worms than slugs in the vegetable garden I never thought we'd get enough to make a difference.
Haven't seen any glowing yet this year.Attached FilesLe Sarramea https://jgsgardening.blogspot.com/

Nice picture ...Pain is still pain, suffering is still suffering, regardless of whoever, or whatever, is the victim.

This amazing iridescent beetle landed on my hat - I could hear it approaching from way off!
I have no idea what it is, but it looked like a jewelled brooch.Attached FilesLe Sarramea https://jgsgardening.blogspot.com/

I get quite a lot of wildlife in my garden, so I'll keep putting a few pics up of the different birds I get visiting or in permenant residence. Some are from last year but they are still decent pics. Here's a sparrowhawk sitting on my bird table waiting for his breakfast on a cold winter's morning.Attached Files
