Ugh! I hope not too!!! I've certainly never seen one before, I'd better look it up!

I have just looked it up and yes it looks like a German cockroach and they do live in Ireland. That's scary and worrying

There are lots and lots of damsel flies this year. Here they are lining up neatly clearly waiting for something to begin

Caught this little chap on my courgette plant in the greenhouse so I popped him outside and managed to get this before he flew away.

Ringlet is a great name for a butterfly

Something huge and black zoomed past me today and crash landed on the drive!! Honestly this beetle is about an inch long. I have looked up beetles but haven't found out what it is yet.

I think it's a great diving beetle.

Oh I hope you are right, that would be a relief, I don't mind water beetles at all!

I haven't seen it again, but am keeping a look out.

Red deer outside kitchen window last September ( and most of winter). When the weather turns again they will be back. Hope to get a much better photo then, this one is just dreadful
