      • I think I'll add yesterday's Buzzard pictures to this thread, too. It's a resident, locally, that I see several times a week, most weeks. This is the first time I've been able to get photos.

            • I was delighted to see two long tailed tits today, so cute but very zippy I didn't get a great photo.

              • I'm very curious about the birds in Mrs Wadders' post at 920, in the first photo. They look quite exotic to me, does anyone know what they are?

                  • Thanks NG, that's what they are. Don't think I've ever had them in my garden, I mostly get robins and blackbirds.

that's right they're goldfinches, we had 2 pairs last summer, they are beautiful birds. They're favourite is niger seeds. We don't have anything else quite so pretty apart from robins, blackbirds, blue tits, starlings, wood pigeons and hundreds of sparrows!

                        • I always leave my compost bin slightly open for this little hedgehog. I found him in a recycle bag one night, making alot of noise & effort to get an empty tuna tin
