My OH took these the other day. Our new dog is shedding like mad and we have "tumbleweed" all around the house but the sparrows seem to like it:

Two bee flies on the allotment yesterday and THIS little beauty Took a few snaps whilst she sunbathed on a paving slab and googled her once home. I think she's a Tawny Mining Bee and is one of the species of bee that bee flies parasitise
If I'm not on the Grapevine I can usually be found here!....https://www.thecomfreypatch.co.uk/

Jerry building
The swallows have come back again this year and have started to build. This pair need a short course in construction! We have loads of beams in the old cow shed but they have chosen to build on the paper lining of the insulation. Quick repair job required with the aid of an old feed sack before it fell down. Hope it won't put them off.
Note to us, must get some sort of ceiling fitted.
Now they have come out upside down. Please could some kind Mod flip them for me, thanks.

I saw a speckled wood butterfly today, first I have seen this year. He wouldn't sit with his wings open but I got this pic with my phone that shows how well camouflaged he is with his wings closed:
