Had the spotted flycatcher in the garden again, loop-de-looping. Was nesting last yr on old bird feeder ledge, need a proper box which OH hasn't had a chance to make yet. I'd love it to return.Northern England.Comment

Orange Tip Butterfly (female I think as wouldn't open wings) resting on tulips at allotment last night at 7pm

Oooh how exciting! It's a Crab Spider of some sort...possibly Misumena vatia? They lie in wait on flowers and grab their prey that way.
