      • Not sure what this is

But as I found two mating hawkmoths in the garden a month or so ago ( fot on here ) , im guessing its one of their offspring, big fella at about three inches long.

          • I found this frog in a big pot of water I have at the bottom of the garden (my cat & birds drink out of it) so I moved it to my little water feature pond,I don’t know where it’s come from, funny how they turn up,unless it’s always been here & I didn’t know-

A robin baby first spotted on the 10th July 2018 as it was deliberate in it's efforts to be noticed!!!

Here it was this morning at 7am hopping amongst my feet, it managed to get hosed twice and didn't seem to mind, even ventured into the greenhouse for a nose..

It makes a point of getting noticed! Is this usual behaviour for Robins?

And how long before the plumage turns?

                • Lions mane jellyfish

Not the best photo in the world but I was making sure those tentacles weren't coming anywhere near me.
I've been stung by a detached one before and that was uncomfortable enough.

These spheroncephalon are so easy to grow and always covered in bees. Yet they never seem to be mentioned much in lists of bee attractant flowers.

Here is our Collar Dove. They have been sunning in the leylandii trees all summer where they have been nesting for last 3 years or so. This week noticed this one in the gutter inside our large barn. Any rain, and the gully above fills and overflow down these pipes.

                      Heavy rain forecast.

Darwin(a) survived these last 2 nights and yesterday. Rain lashing down and water all round her but she tuckered down and stuck it out. Will just have to wait and see if eggs still viable

                          • Well Flo turned up this morning (haven't seen her since the 29th July) and was intent on getting in on the action... lol...

First of all she helped get rid of the pests in the greenhouse while I harvested a few toms
