The bird feeders are a magnet for the tits - sometimes 20+ birds trying to feed. They don't stay still long enough for a photo - so here are just a few of them.
There was a bird in the GH today. I shooed him out but he left this feather behind. I know what it was as I had a really close look at him, perched on a flowerpot. Do you know what it was?

I know I said I "knew" what it was - but I'm not so sure now!!
My first impression when I saw it at the back of the GH was of a spotted chest - thought it was a thrush but when I went around the back of the GH I could see its hooked beak. Couldn't go back into the house for a camera as the dogs were frantic to get at it.
It was lovely to see it close up - it wasn't ringed.
