    • He must be so small, we have them flying round the back's of our house, if you listen really carefully you can here them squeaking to each other.

      • he was tiny and I suspect there were a brood of them in the roofspace of the extension - I've had 4 in the house this year!

        • Not really wildlife but thought you might like to see these pics taken yesterday at Ashdown Forest Llama Farm.

          Llama portrait pics -

Some of the alpacas born this summer, with a few of their mums. The building in the background is Ashdown Forest Hotel & Country Club -

My favourite pic of the day. I'd just given her a handful of grass -

          • Also at the llama farm they have three reindeer. Originally from Sweden the reindeer were 'rescued' by the llama farm owner - apparently they had been badly treated and were in an appalling condition. They were extremely wary of people and would retreat into their barn if anyone went anywhere near their paddock.

Not the best of pics as I had to use lots of zoom to get these shots from quite a distance. Next time we visit I'm definitely taking my tripod!

                  • Here's another Llama, this one spat at the OH p.m.s.l, it got him right on the back of his head as he ran off. What a star (the llama). I did have a photo of that but OH made me scrub it off.

                      • I was getting some manure from the pile today when I found the attached Mr Toad. Five minutes later I plunged the spade into a pile and out popped a second Mr Toad. Don't worry they have been relocated in my second pile and were see munching on spiders etc.

The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.
