That's lovely Teb. I saw a blackcap in winter in our garden last year for the first time but haven't seen any this year.
There are a pair of swans & their 6 cygnets on the frozen 'Old River' near us, along with the ducks, geese etc. they keep having to move to the bits which have thawed out.Attached FilesInto every life a little rain must fall.

Woodpecker
We were thrilled to see a woodpecker in the garden last week, but it was chased off by a squirrel before I could get a photo. It was back again this weekend though.

I hope I've done this right - my first try at attaching something to a post. Humble apologies if I've done it wrong.

Well he survived the winter, survived the hunters, now all he needs to do is gather himself a harem and defend it against his mates and stop eating me out of house and home (and get off of my raised bed), otherwise he may end up keeping some roast tatties companyAttached Files
