dead bee weirdness

I've just found 2 tiny dead bees (common carder?), eight feet apart in my kitchen.

I have no idea how they got there ... all the doors & windows have been shut for 24 hours since I hoovered & mopped the kitchen floor yesterday.

Have you got any of those air vent/brick thingies? I've had wasps and bees find their way in through them before now, dunno if they were looking for somewhere to nest? But we've put fly screen over the kitchen one because little compost/fruit fly thingies were coming in that way too. Ugh!
