Caterpillar Idenitification please?

I have a caterpillar on my blueberry having a merry old time but I don't know what he is going to change in to. He is such a magnificent specimen that I have left him be.

Please excuse my description as he appears to be camera shy.

He is Black and hairy (very fine hair) with a yellow stripe down the length of his body. At either side of the stripe are small red spots which run down the length of the body. He has a Hump at the front just behind his head and a smaller hump just above his bum. Total length just over an inch and half

He really is a magnificent specimen but what is he?

Hi sprocket, dose he look like this, if he dose he's going to turn into a "Gray Dagger Moth" and they're beautiful and rather large. I haven't got a photo of the adult, but i'll try and get one for you, unless someone else has one???
This one was on my Red current bush.

Have just found a picture of the moth on the internet and now know what to look out of.

He's a handsom chap, not like your common "cabbage white".

Identifying caterpillars. What sort of caterpillar is this?

Thanks srodders, looks like mine is a Vapourer Moth caterpillar - I'm guessing male as the pic marked as female on that site is a different colour.
