Sounds sensible!...although I'm sure there's no regulations like that over here- they're more likely to be shot!!!
I found a butterfly wing on the floor under where he perched last night...clearly had the midnight munchies!Last edited by Nicos; 09-10-2009, 09:54 AM."Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Hi Nicos - any news today? Has the bat taken up residence? It was good to hear it was snacking on the odd butterfly (hopefully a cabbage white!). The bat box thing, Headfry - you would not be allowed to remove a bat box with a resident population - but if you were freaking out because you didn't want bats around then a qualified bat worker would be able to do that for you - usually they ask that you let the bats leave of their own accord before taking it down. British bats are quite nomadic and have different roosting spots at different times of the year - for different purposes. In Autum they will be looking for a hibernation roost (hibernaculum). So exciting!Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?
