Somewhat weird that I should see this thread just now.
Last year me and him took a holiday in Cape Verde. The setting was idyllic everthing okeydoky. Second night there my OM suddenly leapt out of bed and threw himself, demented like, around the room. He couldn't speak coherently and I thought he was being a bit pathetic. He never likes to talk about aches and pains so for the next two weeks he kept to himself. I was concerned but he continually brushed me off. So, I, being the caring loving wife that I am left him to himself and spent the rest of the holiday on my jack. When we got back to the UK I persuaded him to seek medical advice as to his painful neck shoulder. No joy there! He was still under the weather so we went to a Chiropractic centre. She gave him the works in order to release the shoulder spasms and during the sessions she remarked "did you know you have fang marks on your neck".
I just wonder if the poor man had in fact been bitten by a black widow. I know they don't usually attack unless you get into their bed but I wonder!
