  • Spring is springing ...........

Been out in the garden this afternoon and in about 15 minutes saw the first bumble bee, red Admiral butterfly and even what looks like a solitary miner bee.

Perhaps spring may be here, fingers crossed.

Saw my first butterfly of the year on Saturday. In Sheffield!

Isn't it nice driving to work, having to wear your sun glasses?

We had a Small Tortoiseshell at the allotments on Saturday. Lovely reminder that winter won't stay forever.

OH dug over a large area last weekend to try and get it to dry out a bit. The top layer is now beautifully dried and just needs a bashing before I sow my carrots and beetroot under fleece!
Once they are in, I'll really feel that the growing season has started!
( rain forecast later on this week- which will be perfect timing!)
                ...and 15C for Wednesday!!
I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for greenfly on my roses from now on too!!!
