Good luck GP, please keep us posted with updates.

I hope the little blighters make it safely to the wild in due time (and that you get your shed problem resolved too!)

Well done Gigleypants, I am so glad you got some helpful information at last and that they have been able to clarify that the RSPCA were wrong in this case. I do hope you can report the officer involved because it could prevent lives being wasted in the future and encourage them to take a different approach to such gorgeous animals.

I hope all continues to go well and the cubs thrive. Also hope that mum does eventually show up....

      Good luck. x

Well just to let you know I have done my nightly duties ...

          1) Water
          2) Wet dog food
          3) Peanut butter sandwiches

Just the way Mamma makes ... I know an odd combination but this is what I was advised

Until tomorrow all take care xxx

i like foxes too. the rspca are generally useless to act , so this doesnt surprise me that they have behaved in this way- they have had a lot of bad press in the horse community for failure to act- truly horrific cases too . i think you need to contact a fox rescue group though, because i think it is illegal to keep a wild animal so you could be heaping trouble on your self.

forgot to ask, are the cubs eating the food? are thier eyes open yet, and have you put the floor of the shed back over them for shelter? i dont think the mother would come back once she knows humans have disturbed her liar.

Sorry I haven't blogged for a few days, been out with the kids as it is holidays ... but to get you all up to speed ... the cubs are doing fine as far as I can tell food is all going and just hope its them getting it ... last night around 9.30 we saw a larger fox in the garden around the cubs ... we watched for a while and the cubs didn't seem to mind it being there so we are assuming that it could be mum !!!! we will have to wait and see ... not checked this morning as yet ... on a more serious note the RSPCA complaints department called me on Tuesday ... they wanted to get the full story as to what happened and what I was told ... seems that getting in touch with the FOX PROJECT has ruffled some fur shall we say lets hope its for the best ... will post again later if any changes but for now its FOXY MAMMA getting some rest lol xx

P.S. have been trying to get pics but they are quite a distance away from the house and with them only coming out at in the dusk it makes it difficult ... I did try to sneek up lol ... lets just say I need more practice 3 steps and they scarpered lol

Just in this instance sod the RSPCA for not wanting to help in the first place! Sometime some ruffled fur as you say or a kick in the pants can be good for these organisations, shows them that they are not the only animal welfair people around!

Well so far sounds like all is going good for the cubs. I have been up to my eyes with a few bits and peices last few days but was wondering how things were going! Keep up the good work Foxy Mumma your doing a grand job by sound of things! Don't let the bullies at RSPCA get you down, fight them all the way!

I have some news once again ... I have been putting the food out as normal over the weekend but Sunday morning it was still there ... so again last night I put out some fresh and this morning the same thing still there ... I have checked under the makeshift home we put together for them and no sign of the little cuties ... seems we were right about the bigger Fox the other night ... at last mum has returned and taken the little ones to a safe place ... who knows maybe she has been hurt or just took time to find a safe place for them ... whichever it is I hope they are all doing fine ... so for the last time here is FOXY MAMA signing out - a little sad but happy they are doing what Foxes do best ... maybe next year they will come back and build a den under the new shed base ... but until then ... anyone want a half eaten pot of peanut butter lol xxx thanks for all your kind words and help over the last weeks and if anyone finds themselves in the same situation please message me TTFN xxx
