What's this? When I was watering my onions I noticed it frantically trying to get away from the water.. Photos are bad as from phone sorry!

I agree I think it's a kind of plume moth & is harmless. Here's a link to a pic. of one, they come in various shapes & sizes but this looks a bit like yours.
