  • suicidal slugs

Our small pond that we put in our garden recently has dead slugs in the bottom What's that all about? The only thing I can think is that they're trying to get to ther water mint and falling in. I planted some in the ground which they decimated and fortunately a little in the pond on a shelf which so far they have not touched. If I leave them in there will they do any harm as they rot or should I remove them? (I really, REALLY don't want to...ukkk)

I notice that if you kill a slug and leave it's body - the next night it has loads of visitors - not sure if they're trying to eat it or something, but it's great for m e to go out and snip them up Got some hooooge corkers last night. Pretty gross all the stuff that comes out though.

That is pretty rank. Wouldn't fancy that at all.

hehe yeah, but I can't squash them with my hands that's too much - snipping them in half gives the birds a treat in the morning

Can't you let them have a funeral in peace?
(Thanks for the tip - I'll be putting that into practice.)
