  • Beetle I.D.

    I've found a beautiful beetle in Jeanied's garden and were in a quandary as to what it is...could anyone help!

    Looks like a Stag Beetle to me Ginge. Probably a female as the claws/jaws are so small.

      That's a lesser stag beetle. Wow!

      You can distinguish them from female stag beetles because they have black wing cases whereas stag beetles have a brown tinge.

            So do I expect goings on in my garden, I wonder? If that is a female, I wonder if there will be any babies due!!
