Are some flying insects territorial ??

This might on the face of it seem a daft question but everytime I walk up through the garden at one particular spot I get attacked by some flying creature. It buzzes straight into my face and away again. It has happened everyday and always in the same part of the garden. any ideas or am I just being paranoic.!!

If I disturb some bumblebees feeding, one does exactly that..as you describe.

Rest assured, you are not paranoid..they ARE out to get you...:-)
