I wouldn't mind so much if it was just the conifer plantations (which are used for logging anyway) that they were selling off, but if they feel the need to change the laws regarding ancient woodland, what are they going to allow to happen to them?!

The "Nature Reserve" just over the hedge from us is currently in the throes of having thousands of houses built on it. This despite protests from 95% of locals.
No new schools, health centre etc. are included in the plans although our schools, doctors and roads are already past overcrowding. Local, and I mean LOCAL children of school age are being bussed to a school miles away and whilst you could ring the doctors surgery and be told, come down in ten minutes you are now being given an appointment days ahead.
I would happily go and live in my field in a caravan but that wouldn't be allowed!
This village has more than quadrupled in size in the last twenty years yet services stay the same.
EEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!
