Morning, i'm after a bit of help with a new border i am planning in my front garden. My partner has bought me two holly bushes 'blue prince & blue princess' and i have a honysuckle to plant in the middle. the border in question is about 4ft deep & about 10ft wide. my plan is to have a holly bush at each end and to plant the honysuckle in the middle of the border to cover the fence. would i better off buying another honeysuckle to ensure more coverage?. my partner is building me a wildlife hotel to put there so i'm really after some further wildlife planting ideas. also could anyone recomend a suitible tree to support wildlife which i would like to place in a seperate area in the front which would need to be fairly compact. Many thanks in advance.

You need to look up your variety of honeysuckle and see how far apart they are planted: you can then decide if you have enough space for more.
Ditto the hollies.

Holly, though slow growing,is a very hungry and eventually dominating plant. In a border the size you mention it will be a short holly hedge in a few years, nothing will grow under it as it shuts out all the light.I love holly, but it's well away from everything else.
