  • Hidden Hoard

Today I went into the cow shed which is used as a workshop/store and discovered corn and chestnuts raining down from the uncovered insulation. On further investigation I found at least a pound of corn and lots of chestnuts hidden in the insulation. Last year I had a net bag of chesnuts hanging in there and one day I discovered it was empty! I obviously had a mouse

I am amazed at the amount work the little creature put in carrying all that lot, one at a time from the other end of the cow shed up to behind the insulation.

I think it deserved the feast

We had mice in the garage this last winter: they somehow managed to pull all the dried peas out of the (boxed) guinea pig food, and climb up some shelves to hide them in Himself's trainers
