Got to see my first one yesterday, magnificent bird, colours are truly amazing.

we have them here ..i hardly ever see them when i'm gardening but OH who goes fishing on the river next to the garden is always seeing them..tiny but beautiful.

The first time I saw a kingfisher a cuckoo was calling, the sun was warm and life was sweet. Had I dropped dead then I would have died happy!
I see lots now where I walk the dogs beside a river and the thrill is still the same.
